Do you sometimes feel like it is just too much and there is no end in sight? Maybe you are stuck in a cycle of over thinking and cannot break out of it. Perhaps you struggle with motivation for simple daily tasks. You might be struggling with managing your emoticons or reactions. Are you stuck living in the past or terrorized by previous events? Does it feel like you are going to be stuck like this forever? Whatever it is that you are experiencing, you’re beginning to notice the impact of this in every facet of your life:
- Difficulty maintaining relationships
- Struggling to concentrate at work or at home
- Overwhelming emotions
- Avoidance of places or experiences
- Easily startled
- Quick to get angry or irritable
- Lack of motivation
- Overwhelming fear or worry
- Sense of hopelessness
- Feeling alone or isolated
Then you have come to the right place
It may feel impossible now, but you can find joy again. You can find your motivation. You can find hope again. And we can help you get there.
Treating depression with therapy can help you do 8 things:
- Develop coping skills to manage emotions
- Teaches you behavioral techniques to increase motivation
- Increases self-esteem and self-confidence
- Gain self-control
- Explore past and present dynamics to understand to the root if the problem
- Gain understanding of relationship dynamics and your role within them
- Learning to find joy in life
- Utilize skills to reduce and control anxiety
I can help through this process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances. My approach to treating depression comes from a place of strength and autonomy, believing that you are not the “problem” but it’s simply the cycle you are in that needs fixing.
I utilize my own life experiences to understand where my client’s are coming from. At 17 I enlisted in the United States Air Force where I was trained as a medic and EMT. These experiences both witnessed and first hand allow me to connect to my clients on a more personal level. I received extensive training in evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Analysis System of Psychotherapy (CBASP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I’m equipped with specialized knowledge to effectively address anxiety, depression and trauma-related concerns. I am also a certified Clinical Trauma Practitioner. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. I look forward to hearing from you.
