Military, veteran, and first responder populations

The military, veteran, and first responder populations face unique challenges and issues that can have a significant impact on their well-being and mental health. These individuals often encounter high-stress environments, traumatic experiences, and demanding responsibilities that can lead to physical, psychological, and emotional challenges. Often members of this population face a stigma against mental health in their own community. And when seeking health they often are misunderstood by providers that do not understand the unique culture.

As the owner of Stickney Counseling as well as a USAF Veteran trained as a medic, I  have a close relationship with law enforcement. I feel we can offer an environment where the culture is understood and can offer a safe place to process and heal.
